That's what I thought, girls and womanhood. And I am sure to know all about that. I will give it a go.

Ug boots are always bound to generate discussion. You can only get so much mileage with trackie dacks. The engi stuff is too geeky. But if you have a specific bag out session, those involved will respond, I'm sure... Relationships, it's a fine line. You've got to make it out there enough to get people talking, but not too far so as not to offend people.

I think you should do a satire of "Church womanhood and the homemaker"...

Either that or the ug boots.

Please, please write about Biblical womanhood! I am dying to hear your perspective -- can hardly keep from laughing for joy in anticipation.

But ug boots too.

And what is a trackie dack? Is it like a tracksuit?

UTAS Engineering Stuff-ups: Letting me get this far through in my degree... that's gotta be classified a failure for those setting standards.

Trackie dacks is an Australian colloquial term for track suit bottoms. Bogans may wear trackie dacks and ug boots to the shops, maybe with a "Fox Racing" top.

To get into medicine at uni, you first have to set a intelligence/aptitude/personality test. You have to put various shapes in order and stuff like that, and are asked ethical questions about doctor patient relations. No knowledge about the human body is going to help.

For engineering... nothing. People with no aptitude for design can just float up to management and get paid more.

The biblical womanhood stuff is going to be painful to prepare so don't hold your breath.

The leadership one sounds worthwhile and not predictable.

Come to think Jonny, you're the ideal blogger, when you've the time and energy to put into it.

You've a reliably interesting mix of dry wit and thoughtful, asute, serious reflection. Keep up the good work!

3,5,7,9,10 - I don't know if I've ever posted a comment here before but I'm glad I popped by to check on your blog.

It's a catch 22 for us of the feminine persuasion - so much of our roles are defined through understanding those of you who came first - but you're the ones who don't like to talk about it!

I'm sorry you say it is painful. No pain no gain?
