Anyone that was in Hobart city this evening took a picture the same as this on their mobile phone. While walking towards ground zero, I was half thinking I should be walking in the other direction. Or at least judging just how close I would get, but the Police had the road blocked off a block away from the fire. The fire was still getting bigger while I watched, even with a few fire trucks there. The old Myre building in the center of the city would be totaly distroyed without a doubt. Without getting close enough to see, I think it's safe to say my local KFC needs to be rebuilt from ground up.A Police lady said the original Myre building may have been 200 years old.

Even though I could smell KFC from ladies wear department when I worked there, I still find myself surprised that KFC got burned out too.

OK, KFC seams ok. The lights are still on and the music video is still going from when it was evacuated. A bit of an optical illusion looking at the fire from the top of Liverpool. The LJ Hooker building seams ok, even tho I thought it was on fire. The shop front of Murry St. mens ware seams ok, maybe some smoke and water damage. I am going to be looking for cheap smoke damaged jeans and shirts, let me know if you hear anything. I think Diamond World and the newsagent are gone. (Cheap fire damaged diamonds?) They will probably knock over the walls of Liverpool St. Myer tomorrow and load it into dump trucks.

I've seen some of the photos on Jolly's blog. Looks pretty devastated.
Maybe the building is 100 years old, not 200.
