James Nesbitt

Now while I'm not as young as I used to be, maybe I could still be used to play characters approaching middle age. I have the beginnings of a TV screenplay in my mind. Nevermind the details, but it has me as main character, an Irishman. And despite the story involving gun play, I am constantly having bubble baths and in the sauna, with more than a flicker of interest from the female cast. Could such a TV show ever work?

You're dreamin'.
On the other hand, since such characters hardly ever smile for the camera, maybe it could work.

I gather you have watched Murphys Law? It's at my sort of level in the evening during a working week. During my snooze before a 11pm dinner. The Bill is more soap, too many plots that are insignificant.

I think you're onto something... plus, since when did the star have to worry about the details. You want to get yourself a manager.
