McLaren-Mercedes prepare for the Singapore F1 Grand Prix this weekend, which will be held for the first time at night.

But something seams not quite right with this video. See if you can spot it and let me know.

My lunch today:

Two steaks of organic tofu gently fried in olive oil and covered in fresh spring onions and soy source, along with a fried egg and some celery. Yum!

10km

I have paid my fee for the Burnie Ten and so have been doing some training in the last few weeks. This mainly includes going for a run, some other sport, eating well, and observing my weight. Tonight was my first 10km run. Without giving too much away, generally speaking I am as fit as I need to be at this time. Who else is doing this?

Middle Age

As the median age of Australia's population is projected to increase over time, and given that my age will also increase in time, I could end up spending an awful long time as "middle aged". Maybe someone can calculate this and comment on any foreseen side effects. I am advised to do crosswords, and keep my mind active. Or maybe that was "old age"?

Dear Sir,

Centrelink are getting too hard to deal with. I want a job as CAD draftsman, technical officer, engineers assistant or design engineer. My experience is in automotive and other lightweight vehicles, training in mechanical engineering. Will accept jobs with a civil or electrical component. Money, top dollar. Experience, none. Get back to me soon, thanks.

BMI - I'm almost normal

I recently checked out my BMI (body mass index). It is the ratio of your height, to your weight squared. It is a general indicator that can help tell if your overweight or underweight. The drawback is, it is only a number that does not know the difference between fat and muscle (we all have a lot of muscle, right?). But I think it is a useful indicator, and would only be un-useful if you had a weird sport like weight lifting with the muscles to match.

On some charts, "normal" is 18.5 to 25. 25 to 30 is overweight. Last week I was 26, which is overweight. But with some training I now have an index of 25, making me almost normal again. But on some charts, 18.5 to 23 is normal, and over that is overweight. I am aiming for 23.

BMI = 80kg / (1.755m)^2 = 25.9
